Levi’s had a great idea: Let’s get together a few dozen really talented artists, commission them to do their art thing on the iconic Levi’s backpocket and auction the work to raise money to fight AIDS. You can view the product here. I love Levi’s, they make comfortable, good looking jeans in a variety of cuts and washes. (Does that sound like a plug? It’s not. Yet. *hint* Executives at Levi’s, I can be paid in jeans) I can wear my 514’s out to a bar Downtown or put them on and stumble into class on a Monday morning. I love versatility. And these jeans fight AIDS! Seeing these makes me wish they were available outside of auction. Maybe some kind of cool product (RED) version with a few of the selected designs. I wouldn’t really want them mass produced, though. I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to things like this.
So to sum up: Levi’s? good. AIDS? bad. Levi’s that fight AIDS? awesome.
Like most things as good as this, it’s hard to pick a favorite, but I think I’m going to have to go with the works of de Tr3s for the win.
