Usually, it seems like Pilar covers all the home and garden stuff here but today I’ve decided to steal a little of her thunder. Why? Simple: I love thunder. Also, just like Pilar, I live in a home too. I have no garden though, so we’ll stay inside for the next 200 words. Anyway, Urban Outfitters has some neat couches that are good looking and functional. The following two couches are more than meets the eye. That is to say that they transform.

They are not robots.

Anywhere Couch Bed ShotThe first one up is the Anywhere Sofa.
It’s very modern looking and square so you kinda need the right decor to go with it, but if you’re still reading this post something tells me you’ve got what it takes laying around. The second best part is that it folds out into a bed. The best part is that it’s all foam and cloth connecting the pieces, which means no dangerous metal rods fencing you in like those old fold-out couches. You can safely enter and exit this thing without fear of losing a toe.

The second is the Either/Or Convertible Sofa. It does the bed thing too, but ups the ante with the ability to fully convertible to bed or keep half in the upright position. I’m not sure what application this has specifically, but I feel like the first movie I pass out watching on this thing would run me through the requisite contortions to exploit its value. The other plus is that, while in bed-mode, it’s significantly more raised off the ground than the first couch, in case you don’t like sleeping Japanese style (or have dirty floors).

The Either/Or seems a bit more functional but will cost you 200 more bills, so you be the judge. You can get both from UO, but the shipping charge is a whopping $115 so I’m crossing my fingers on being able to find these in stores. Either way you go, both are better than the Goodwill-donation-waiting-to-happen in my living room right now.
